I bought this stamp and setiment from eBay a few years ago...isn't it great?!! I think they are a pair of caterers finally stopping at the end of the day to enjoy the fruits of their labor!! There is no better celebration than that of a job well done!!

We'd love for you to play along so be sure to post your creation at Our Creative Corner using Mr. Linky and if you upload to SCS use Keyword OCCC!

Crazy For Treats!

This week at Crazy 4 Challenges, our wonderfully gifted hostess, Joanne, has challenged us to create a Treat Container!!

What a great challenge for this time of year! I decided to go with a less conventional kind of treat for my project as this gift was going to a fellow Stamper/Scrapper! I wanted to try and make it unique as Monique of For The Love Of Paper has done some pretty amazing projects herself!!

Here is the picture of the final project! Scroll down and you will find a brief tutorial on how to make these boxes WITH the insert to hold the ball inside.

Here is the smaller box and ornament of the two. I filled the ornament with brads, buttons, ribbons, bows etc...basically anything that would fit in the opening!! I used a red, green, and gold theme for this one and then covered it with SU! Rub-Ons so that when she takes the embellies out, she still has a nice ornament to hang on her tree.

This is a larger ornament filled with silver, white and blue embellies, also covered with rub-ons!

Here are the measurements to create the boxes for a 2.24" diameter ornament and a 3.15" diameter ornament (I got them from Walmart):

Ornament Box
*small* Score a 6-3/4" square at 2" on all sides. Trim four corner pieces and fold into box.

*large* Use 9-3/4 " square (score at 3" on all sides)

Lid
*small* Score a 4-7/8" square at 1" on all sides. trim corners and fold into lid.

*large* Use 5-7/8" square

Ball Holder Insert
*small* Score a 3-5/8" square at 1/2" on all sides, cut off each corner and fold down. Cut a circle in the center to the size of your ornament.

*large* Use 4-5/8" square

I think that pretty much covers it but feel free to ask questions if you have any!

Thank you so much for stoppin' by for a visit!
Happy Holidays to All!

OCC Let It Snow!

Welcome to another edition of Our Creative Corner! This week, our fabulous hostess, Jenny Gropp has challenged us to create a card or project using SNOW as our theme!

I've been wanting to get a few decorations made with my kids' current school pictures so decided to use this oppotunity to do just that!

I used a chipboard snowflake that I got in a SU! Kit a while back...it has the matching die cut papers to fit making this super easy to put together! I added a bunch o' bling and my daughters sweet little toothless grin and VOILA...fun tree decoration!!!

If you'd like to play along, post your creation back at Our Creative Corner using Mr.Linky and if you upload to SCS use Keyword OCCC!

Keepin' It Simple!

Ciao Chicas!!! I RARELY do simple on my cards and yet it's a look that I always end up very pleased with!!! Sometimes less really is more...especially this time of year when it seems I always have more to do that time to do it in!!!

The Stampalicious Monday Challenge is to Keep It Simple! Make a CAS Card and leave a link to your creation on the Totally Stampalicious Blog using Mr. Linky for your chance to win a $10 Gift Certificate!

I used 'The Present' and sentiments from the Willameana stamp set to create this 10 minute card!! I colored the image with copics, matted it with black cardstock and popped it up over the ribbon! Stamped the sentiment (gotta love clear stamps for that!!) and VOILA!!! Done!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I sure hope you'll play along with us this week!!

I think this would be the perfect way to give a Gift Card to a Video store or Movie theater! Thanks so much for stopping by!!

OCC - 12 Days Of Christmas!

Jenny Gropp, who is One Kraft Kat, came up with a FANTASTIC Inspiration Challenge for Our Creative Corner this week!! We are to use the song 12 Days Of Christmas as our source of inspiration...here is a 'break down' of the song!

On the twelfth day of Christmas,
My true love sent to me...
Twelve drummers drumming,
Eleven pipers piping,
Ten lords a-leaping,
Nine ladies dancing,
Eight maids a-milking,
Seven swans a-swimming,
Six geese a-laying,
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtledoves,
And a partridge in a pear tree!

I decided to start from the beginning and go with the 'Partridge in A Pear Tree'...even though it's A Bird in a Flourished Nest of Snowflakes!!

I think my choice of colors may have been inspired by last weeks SCS Color Challenge (Black, Suede, and Vanilla) Even though I didn't play in the challenge, I really love the idea of these colors for a Holiday card! (I didn't use black either!) I think this will be the card we give to the kids' Piano teacher!

Please join us in today's Challenge and be sure to link your creation back at the OCC Blog using Mr. Linky! If you upload to SCS use Keyword OCCC!

Thanks so much for stoppin' by!!

What a FANTASTIC challenge Ms. Frances Byrne has come up with for all of us Crazy Gals! This week we are using our punches...border punches, hole punches, scallops, circles, squares...the sky's the limit!!!

Here is my Punch Happy creation!

There is a Grand Total of TEN punches used on this card!! Definitely not a difficult challenge for me as I use my punches ALL the time!! They are such a great way to add a little 'punch' to your card!!! HAHAHAHA! I'm hilarious! (rolling eyes at myself now!)

That sweet little elf is from CTMH - Merry Pursuits. I used Garden Green and Not quite Navy cardstock...not sure whose DP that is but it's shiny and pretty!!

If you'd like to play along please post your creation to the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog with Mr.Linky and if you upload to SCS use Keyword C4C13!!

Thanks so much for stoppin' by and be sure to scroll down to find another fun challenge for today!!

Now here is my version of the sketch! I just got the new Ornament punch from SU! and I couldn't wait to use it!!

The sentiment is from a CTMH set. I think I used a total of EIGHT different punches on this card from THREE different companies!! I like to consider myself an 'equal opportunity' crafter!! Lol!

Please join us in this challenge...just make sure you leave your creation on Our Creative Corner using Mr.Linky and if you upload to SCS use Keyword OCCC!

Crazy 4 Acetate!

The super talented Frances Byrne has challenged us to create a card or project using acetate! Head on over to the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog where you'll find all kinds of ideas for creating with acetate as well as AMAZING samples from the DT!

Now I have to admit that the acetate made ME crazy more so than me being crazy for it....at first!! Once I played with it for a while though, I got the hang of working with it! It was totally worth it as the results can be quite stunning...and unique!!

I made a 'Sour Cream Container' to go along with my card!

Here is a photo of just the card...apparently you can get a thicker acetate that is better for card bases...this is just regular stuff that bends really easy!!!

The image is from Inkadinkado. I used Cool Carribbean ink and cardstock and the ribbon is from Wal-Mart. I stamped the sentiment on a white piece of CS for the inside of the card and used snow flourishes (Inkadinkado) on the borders.

Thanks so much for stoppin' by and be sure to play along and share your creation with us on the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog! If you upload to SCS or any other on-line forum use Keyword C4C11!

Keep scrolling down to find another fun challenge to play with!!

Create a post card or incorporate the post card layout into your theme!

I was inspired to create an actual Post card...and although you can't see it...the back of this has the appropriate lines and such...you're just gonna have to trust me!! Lol!

This adorable image is from High Hopes Stamps! Aren't they adorable!!! The Canada Postage is from SU! The image is colored with prismas and oil...I thought I chould keep it 'flat' and fairly simple like a real post card!

Please visit Our Creative Corner to see what the all the other amazingly talented ladies have created!! If you decide to play along be sure to post your creation to Mr.Linky and if you upload to SCS use Keyword OCCC!

MTSC47 - Dapper Dawg!

Mercy has come up with another fabulous sketch this week HERE on her blog!

I had so much fun dressing up our Rockin' Frawg, I decided to try it with Hawt Dawg as well! You can find both of these fun characters at Totally Stampalicious!!

The Top Hat is from the same CTMH Snowman set that I used on the Frawg. I used a Momento pen to draw on his fancy schmancy Dinner Jacket and then colored it with a copic, highlighting with the blender pen! The Bow Tie I drew by hand and then cut out.

I think he makes a great Masculine Christmas card!!!

Don't forget to hop on over to the Totally Stampalicious blog to see what we're giving away this week!! Thanks so much for stoppin' by!

I decided to pull out my spooky Halloween set from Inkadinkado for this one!! These are such great stamps...I just love the flourish-y designs!!

I stamped my image with Black Craft ink and embossed with clear ep. I masked the moon and used sponges to create the sky. I used Lovely Lilac, Not quite Navy, Green Galore, So Saffron and Pumpkin. The fence and sentiment tab are both Sizzix dies.

Thanks you so much for stoppin' by my blog today! Be sure to head over to the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog to see what fabulous creations the other ladies came up with today!

OCC - Vintage Baby Card

We have a Vintage challenge today over at Our Creative Corner! The wonderful Lori Rider came up with this fabulous idea for her final challenge of the month!! Thanks, Lori...your challenges were awesome!!

I don't really do a whole lot of vintage so this was definitely a challenge for me! I immediately thought of this gorgeous paper from Wild Asparagus and the Baby Stamp Set from Simply Chic (Provo Craft)!

I opted to use Groovy Guava ans Soft Suede and then sponged with Bravo Burgundy. To stamp the dress I stamped onto my versamark pad then the burgandy pad and then embossed with clear ep. I used my aquapainter and reinkers to color the dress.

The crocheted flowers I've had a looong time (I guess they're vintage too!!) and I thought they'd be perfect for this card! I had some awesome crocheted lace taht I wantdd to use too but ut just didn't fit well anywhere!!

Head on over to Our Creative Corner to see all the other clever creations from the Uber Talented DT!! If you play along be sure to post your creation usong Mr. Linky and use Keyword OCCC when uploading to SCS!

Crazy For Shapes - Here's To Good Friends

Our Crazy 4 Challenges Hostess, Ms. Vicki Garrett, challenged to use THREE different shapes on our card!

A good friend of mine is moving to Vancouver Island next week and we're getting together for a little Good-Bye Soiree on Saturday night...should include some great food, fine wine and plenty of love and laughter!! I created this card to accompany her gift which consists of a couple of books of hiking trails on the Island!

The card base is square, the main panel is a rectangle, there is an oval hiding behind that, and the sentiment is on a circle!

The main image is from My Favorite things - Girls Night Out...appropriate I thought!!

I used Rockabilly Specialty DP and the new black and white DP from the Mini (both SU!). I pieced the girls' outfits and colored everything else with Copics.

Well I think that just about covers it!! We'd love it if you'd play along, just be sure to post your creation to the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog using Mr.Linky and if you upload to SCS use Keyword C4C8!

Thanks for poppin' by and if you're up for another challenge just keep scrollin' down to see what the OCC has for you!

OCC - A Psycho Inspiration!

This week on Our Creative Corner, Lori Rider has challenged us to make a card inspired by a favorite horror or Halloween movie/story/book!

Well I started out by trying to think of a movie/book first but I just couldn't see how to put it onto a card! So then I decided to reverse my thinking and take a look at my stamps to see if any of them reminded me of a book or movie! I picked up this Haunted House stamp from SU! and was immediately reminded of the movie Psycho!

So then I wanted to make it obvious which movie was the inspiration for this card and thought a famous quote from the movie would do the trick!! I Googled it and theis is what I found!

I have to admit that this may very well be one of my FAVE Halloween cards ever!!! I really love the color I achieved by sponging Really Rust on Summer Sun Paper. The house is stamped in Black Craft Ink and embossed with Clear powder. I used sponges to create the bg! The black back panel is embossed with a Sizzix embossing Folder!

We would love to see what scary book or movie inspires you so be sure to link your creation back to Our Creative Corner using Mr.Linky and if you upload to SCS, use Keyword OCCC!
Thanks so much for stoppin' in for a little Stamps 'n' Coffee

I stamped on a CD that I made for a gift set that I made for a friend of mine!

It worked really well, however I discovered on the first try that if you stamp too close to the center of th disc you may ruin it...at least I think that's waht happened! This one worked perfectly!!

I made this cute case for it using the FAB Tutorial on SCS!!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my Canadian friends! I had a wonderful weekend spent with friends and family...I really do have so much to be thankful for!

For those of you that may be wondering why I had no posts for the C4C and OCC challenges, it's because my computer had a major meltdown!! Fortunately, Becky's dad is a genius and was able to fix it AND save all my pics!!!

Now for the Stampalicious Monday challenge! This week we are asking you to create a card in any shape other than a square or rectangle! You can find all the details on the Totally Stampalicious Blog!

I used our Witchy Brawd...she really is 'totally witchin' in her glittery outfit! The card base is from a kit I got from CTMH!
