I bought this stamp and setiment from eBay a few years ago...isn't it great?!! I think they are a pair of caterers finally stopping at the end of the day to enjoy the fruits of their labor!! There is no better celebration than that of a job well done!!

We'd love for you to play along so be sure to post your creation at Our Creative Corner using Mr. Linky and if you upload to SCS use Keyword OCCC!

Crazy For Treats!

This week at Crazy 4 Challenges, our wonderfully gifted hostess, Joanne, has challenged us to create a Treat Container!!

What a great challenge for this time of year! I decided to go with a less conventional kind of treat for my project as this gift was going to a fellow Stamper/Scrapper! I wanted to try and make it unique as Monique of For The Love Of Paper has done some pretty amazing projects herself!!

Here is the picture of the final project! Scroll down and you will find a brief tutorial on how to make these boxes WITH the insert to hold the ball inside.

Here is the smaller box and ornament of the two. I filled the ornament with brads, buttons, ribbons, bows etc...basically anything that would fit in the opening!! I used a red, green, and gold theme for this one and then covered it with SU! Rub-Ons so that when she takes the embellies out, she still has a nice ornament to hang on her tree.

This is a larger ornament filled with silver, white and blue embellies, also covered with rub-ons!

Here are the measurements to create the boxes for a 2.24" diameter ornament and a 3.15" diameter ornament (I got them from Walmart):

Ornament Box
*small* Score a 6-3/4" square at 2" on all sides. Trim four corner pieces and fold into box.

*large* Use 9-3/4 " square (score at 3" on all sides)

Lid
*small* Score a 4-7/8" square at 1" on all sides. trim corners and fold into lid.

*large* Use 5-7/8" square

Ball Holder Insert
*small* Score a 3-5/8" square at 1/2" on all sides, cut off each corner and fold down. Cut a circle in the center to the size of your ornament.

*large* Use 4-5/8" square

I think that pretty much covers it but feel free to ask questions if you have any!

Thank you so much for stoppin' by for a visit!
Happy Holidays to All!

OCC Let It Snow!

Welcome to another edition of Our Creative Corner! This week, our fabulous hostess, Jenny Gropp has challenged us to create a card or project using SNOW as our theme!

I've been wanting to get a few decorations made with my kids' current school pictures so decided to use this oppotunity to do just that!

I used a chipboard snowflake that I got in a SU! Kit a while back...it has the matching die cut papers to fit making this super easy to put together! I added a bunch o' bling and my daughters sweet little toothless grin and VOILA...fun tree decoration!!!

If you'd like to play along, post your creation back at Our Creative Corner using Mr.Linky and if you upload to SCS use Keyword OCCC!

Thanks so much for stoppin' in for a little Stamps 'n' Coffee!!

Keepin' It Simple!

Ciao Chicas!!! I RARELY do simple on my cards and yet it's a look that I always end up very pleased with!!! Sometimes less really is more...especially this time of year when it seems I always have more to do that time to do it in!!!

The Stampalicious Monday Challenge is to Keep It Simple! Make a CAS Card and leave a link to your creation on the Totally Stampalicious Blog using Mr. Linky for your chance to win a $10 Gift Certificate!

I used 'The Present' and sentiments from the Willameana stamp set to create this 10 minute card!! I colored the image with copics, matted it with black cardstock and popped it up over the ribbon! Stamped the sentiment (gotta love clear stamps for that!!) and VOILA!!! Done!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I sure hope you'll play along with us this week!!

OCC - 12 Days Of Christmas!

Jenny Gropp, who is One Kraft Kat, came up with a FANTASTIC Inspiration Challenge for Our Creative Corner this week!! We are to use the song 12 Days Of Christmas as our source of inspiration...here is a 'break down' of the song!

On the twelfth day of Christmas,
My true love sent to me...
Twelve drummers drumming,
Eleven pipers piping,
Ten lords a-leaping,
Nine ladies dancing,
Eight maids a-milking,
Seven swans a-swimming,
Six geese a-laying,
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtledoves,
And a partridge in a pear tree!

I decided to start from the beginning and go with the 'Partridge in A Pear Tree'...even though it's A Bird in a Flourished Nest of Snowflakes!!

I think my choice of colors may have been inspired by last weeks SCS Color Challenge (Black, Suede, and Vanilla) Even though I didn't play in the challenge, I really love the idea of these colors for a Holiday card! (I didn't use black either!) I think this will be the card we give to the kids' Piano teacher!

Please join us in today's Challenge and be sure to link your creation back at the OCC Blog using Mr. Linky! If you upload to SCS use Keyword OCCC!

Thanks so much for stoppin' by!!
