OCC Monochromatic Challenge!

Dana Grothaus has given us yet another fantastic challenge for Our Creative Corner! You'll want to head over there to see all the other AMAZING creations from the talented OCC DT!!

We are going MONOCHROMATIC today, meaning using different shades of one color! We can use neutrals as well such as Black, White, Vanilla, or Kraft!

Isn't this image sweet? It's from the Childhood Portraits set from CTMH! The sentiment is from Treasures...also CTMH!

I thought I'd go with yellows to represent 'sunshine'! I used saffron and mustard with some sponging to get 3 different shades. I suppose in true Monochromatic style the images should have been stamped in the yellow but I really prefer the silhouette look so I hope that's OK!!

I hope you'll play along with us today! Be sure to post your creation to The OCC Blog using Mr. Linky and if you upload to SCS use Keyword OCCC!

Thanks for stoppin' by!!

  7. This is one terrific card, Joselyn! I don't think I have ever made a yellow card but when I say yours, it just hit me how beautiful the black and yellow can be together. I am glad you used the black for the silhouettes - yellow wouldn't have made the same impact. really lovely piece of work!
