C4C165 Snowmen!

We have our first 

Crazy 4 Challenges

 challenge of December for you, and today we want to see some 

SNOWMEN!

So I kinda cheated and pulled out some 'pre-made' snowmen to make these adorable little tags (Yes I'm tooting my own horn by calling them adorable). But seriously...I've had these guys just sitting around, all neglected and unloved for YEARS!!!!! I think it's about time they've seen the light of day! 

The only paper I had that matched was some watercolor paper, so I used a sizzix die to cut them and then embossed them with a snowflake ef! I then just matted them on to co-ordinating colored cardstock...added another little tag to write on and voila!!

I'm back again with my last challenge of the month for Crazy 4 Challenges!

(ok I'm not really here...I've gone down to Vegas with a bunch of my peeps for a little weekend get-away to celebrate my BFF's 30th B-Day but I'm here in spirit)

I like to make my own GIFT TAGS to adorn the gifts that I give, so my challenge to you all this week is to

3 of a Kind!

So we've had a couple of days of bad weather (not hurricane bad, just some freezing rain) here which, although I don't love it, I can at least see the silver lining and that means more time at home....which means time to play in the Craft Cave! 

 This week's awesome challenge over at the Totally Stampalicious Blog is to create THREE CAS cards using the same stamp but a little differently on each card! Join us and play along...we love to give away prizes and because this is a more 'difficult' challenge there will likely be only a few players to choose from!!  I decided to pull out this adorable Clyde stamp from our Totally Stampalicious Bugaboo Line and color him up a lil' bit differently for each card!

I chose not to put any sentiments on these so I have them at the ready for emergency Birthday, Thank You, Get Well, etc!! I think you can see how versatile our adorable Clyde is!!!!

C4C161 Anything But a Card!

Happy Saturday! It's my turn to be the Hostess over at the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog and I decided to start off with one of my FAVE challenges.... 

ANYTHING BUT A CARD!

I found this adorable gift card holder on Pinterest by Julie Davison

and, as I'm making an effort to actually DO some of the things I find on Pinterest, I thought I better give this easy project a try!

I always think that if you're going to give a generic gift like a gift card (no offense to gift card givers out there...I LOVE to receive them... I just know that some people think it's an 'effortless' gift) then why not 'snazzy' it up with a little chocolate in a hand-crafted box-type-thingy! The box I created here is a particularly simple one as I really don't have a whole lotta spare craftin' time *sniff* these days! :-(

This was all kinds of fun to make and I'm going to be making more for all the gift cards I'll be giving out this year!!!

C4C Color Challenge

It's challenge time again at the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog!

C4C158 Sweet Treats

Halloween is drawing closer and this week, our challenge Hostess with the Mostess, Jessie Rone is challenging all of us to create a SWEET TREAT over at the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog!

There are no limits to this, so whether it's a treat holder, an image involving candy, paper with candy on it, or just the word sweet somewhere, any or all will do!!

So I settled on making a box with some treats in it!! I wrapped a scrap of black paper with some cheese cloth I happened to have lying around and  inked it up to make it look 'old and dirty'!! I kept this very simple!

 I was still having fun playing around so I decorated a few of the chocolates that I'm going to fill the box with!! Again, I wrapped the 'mummy' chocolate in cheese cloth...I'm pretty sure the other little guys are self-explanatory LOL!! (circle punch, SU! owl punch)

Hooray for Saturday!!! Not only do I not have to set an alarm, it's also a LONG WEEKEND up here in Canada as we celebrate Thanksgiving on Monday! (although I will be celebrating today and tomorrow as well WOOHOO!!) 

And as it that isn't enough to be happy about, we have a NEW challenge with a NEW Hostess this month over at the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog!   Jessie Rone has creating a card or project using OUR FAVORITE HALLOWEEN CHARACTER! Pretty hard to pick if you ask me because I like 'em all...vampires, black cats, Frankenstein, pumpkins, goblins, ghouls...well I think you get the point!! 

Anyhoo...I decided on this frighteningly adorable Bobblehead Witch from Bugaboo Digi stamps!!

This was ridiculous amounts of FUN to color!! All that awesome RIBBON and TWINE is from Ribbon Carousel!!! Totally Stampalicioius did a Blog Hop with them last September and I absolutely LOVE their stuff!!

C4C156 Leaves!

Happy Saturday to you all on this fine Fall Day! Over at the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog, our Hostess, Andrea Murdoch, is challenging us to use LEAVES on our card or project!!

While flipping through my stamps, I came across Hunter Gus, who I KNOW resembles many ladies' husbands/brothers/sons etc...if not in looks, as least in attitude!

So I thought I'd color him up and throw a little camouflage around him! In hindsight, I wish I had used different kinds of leaves but this will just have to do! Lol!

C4C155, RC72, and Stampalicious Monday!

Well Life got a little crazy for me these last few weeks and I just couldn't make time for crafting but TODAY I finally got to play!!

High Hopes Stamps sponsored Crazy 4 Challenges a few weeks back and fellow C4C Team Member, Andrea Murdock, sent me this AWESOME image so I just had to color it up and bring it to life! This week's C4C Challenge is to create a Thank You card or a Thanksgiving inspired creation!!

That gorgeous ORANGE SEAM BINDING is from Ribbon Carousel....AWESOME!! I'm entering this into the RC72 Challenge as well!!

C4C148 - Teacher Gift

It's a new month and so that means a new hostess for the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog!! 

Silke Ledlow has a super fun challenge - To make a card or project for a Teacher! 

Well I decided to go with a project and made this fun yet simple chalkboard...something you don't see in many classrooms anymore with all the smartboards out there now!

I used the Teacher Occupation Bear from the Totally Stampalicious Bugaboo Line and created a little box to hold the chalk...the board is a plain wooden plaque I got from the $1 Store and I covered it with vinyl chalboard that you would get for your walls. Sooo EASY!!
