C4C26 - Triple Textured Challenge!

Hey Crazies!! Robin has one last challenge for us before her month as hostess is up! It's been a great month of challenges and creations, so THANKS!!! Her grand finale is to make a creation using at least THREE different textures!!

Totally Stampalicious is our sponsor again this week so I decided to pull out Road Hawg!

I decided to go masculine with this little piggy! I dug up some leather, twill and Core'dinations Cardstock for my textures!

There's some Dazzling Diamonds on his bike as well which I think can be considered texture as well! His bike is actually wolored in Kiwi but you can't really tell due to the glare on the glitter! I've had that barbed wire twill for quite some time...I sponged it Kiwi to make it all matchy matchy!!

Please join us in this challenge and leave a link to your card or project using Mr.Linky on the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog and if you upload to SCS use keyword C4C26!

OCC - February Sketch Challenge

We have a fantastic sketch challenge going on at Our Creative Corner thanks to our fabulous hostess Linda Coughlin - The Funkie Junkie! And thanks for an awesome month of challenges, Linda... you are a constant source of inspiration!!
Be sure to head on ever to the OCC Blog to check Linda's Sketch out!

Our sponsor this week is a brand new digital stamp company Sugar Creek Hollow. So new, in fact, that their Grand Opening is March 1st. They are a Christian company that is giving all of their proceeds to a food pantry. They are offering $10 in free digital images to the lucky winner of this week's random selection. But really everybody wins because as part of their Grand Opening there is a fabulous Friday Freebie (from yesterday), a blog hop, a drawing for $50 in free digital stamps and the opportunity to receive a free digital stamp for every $10 you spend on the Grand Opening day of March 1st. So be sure to drop by their site on Monday and check out all the goodies!

Here is my version of Linda's awesome sketch!

The background paper is a little gem I just picked up from my LSS. The leaves are actually flocked giving it a really rich feel!!

Thanks so much for stoppin' by today and I hope you'll play along with us!!

The Pink Elephant Sketch Challenge!

I am so happy to say that I have made THREE cards today....ALL just for FUN!! No DT's, no company promotions...just playing for the love of the craft!!! I made cards for the Featured Stamper and Technique challenge on Splitcoast, and then I just had to make good use of The Pink Elephants Sketch Challenge!!

Their sponsor this week is a company called Buggaboo Stamps! So I went and checked them out...turns out they are a Digi company...and I HAD to buy some!! Slowly but surely I think I am being converted to a Digi Lover!! Now don't get me wrong...I still LOVES me my rubber, but I'm starting to see the draw of Digi Stamps! Instant gratification ROCKS!!

So I bought this sassy character here...she cracks me up!!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today!!

Monique Hansen - For the Love of Paper
Check out her blog for some AWESOME eye candy!!

In case you missed the announcement last week, all of our stamps are now available for purchase in Digi Images! You can get all the details HERE!

So the Stampalicious challenge this week is to light it up Vegas Style using Glitter and/or Bling!
Here is my sample:

I used our Old Brawd...she has so many sides to her personality...it all depends on what she has to say! Today she is feeling a little sentimental...particuarly about the touchy subject of a lady's age!!
I blinged out my card with some AWESOME glitter paper and some of the new Swiss Dot paper from Bazzill!! Not sure whether you can see in the photo but she's got some bling on her shoes and around her neck as well!!

Thanks so much for stoppin' by today and I hope you'll play along with all of us over at the TS BLOG! Be sure to leave a link to your creation with the Mr.Linky provided there!

C4C25 Stampalicious Sketch!

Now here is my version of Robin' s Sketch using Glam Kitty which you can fine HERE!

I used some sparkly polka dot paper that I've had for a few months now! I love the drama of Taken with Teal paired with black!!

Thanks so much for stoppin' in and be sure to scroll down for my OCC Challenge Card for today!!

OCC - Try a New Technique - Side Step!

Welcome back to another challenge from Our Creative Corner! This week, the amazing Linda Coughlin has us stepping outside our comfort zone and trying something that we've never done before!!

This is such a great challenge for me as I rarely try new things! I'm one of those people that tends to order the same thing when I go to a favorite restaraunt....BORRRRING!!! I think that it's because I'm afraid of wasting good money on something I might not like...which in itself is kind of weird because there are VERY FEW foods that I don't like!
Anyway...I digress!
I decided to create the Side-Step-Stair Fold card that Holly featured for TLC257 on Splitcoast a few weeks back! I'm glad I did as this turned out quite nice although it was hard to photograph due to the different depths (and my lame-o photography skills!)

I hauled out some flowery stamps....now there's something I haven't done in a looooong time!! This set from SU! is long retired...I'm still not sure why I chose it...maybe because of the butterfly! It was nice to just stamp and cut...not really any coloring here although I did use my aquapainter and some reinker to color the flowers up a bit! I also added a little sparkle with my glitter pen!

So how's about you step out of your box today and try something you've never done before! Be sure to leave your creation back at the OCC using Mr. Linky and if you upload to SCS use Keyword OCCC!

Thanks so much for stopping my today!

C4C24 - LOVE that RED!!

We've got another fun challenge from Robin Willis for all you Crazies out there!! This week she wants us using RED on our creations as the main color!! You can see the rest of the DT's samples on the C4C Blog!

Well, to be honest, I'm kinda tired of making Valentine cards! But lucky for me, our sponsor this week, The {Stamps} of Life by Stephanie Barnard, has the cutest Birthday set available. I used the digi version for this creation!

Using the digi images allowed me to resize the Circle Sentment to fit around the treat cup from SU! I then printed out 3 of those sweet balloons, colored them with Copics, cut them out and popped them up! Now I know that the Cinnamon Hearts make this look a little more 'Valentine-y' than I would have liked, but it's the only RED candy I had on hand!!

I hope you'll dig out all your RED papers, markers and embellies and play along with us over at Crazy 4 Challenges! Just be sure to post your creation using Mr.Linky so we can all have a peek! If you upload to SCS use Keyword C4C24!

Thanks so much for stoppin by today and if you're up for more challenges, scroll down to find another one for today!!

OCC - Old is New Again

This week, at Our Creative Corner, Linda, the Funkie Junkie has us reaching deep into our stash and pulling out those supplies/stamps that have either NEVER been used or just really need a good dusting off!!

I pulled out all kinds of stuff I haven't used in a while...as well as these stamps from Unity Stamps that I bought LAST spring and never used!! *gasp*!!

I used some wire to create the Bee's antennae and zI also flocked the black stripes...both things I don't use very often! It's also been a while since I've used the 'New' In Colors, and those Dahlia Nesties were feeling a little neglected as well!!

If you've been looking to ink up some much neglected rubber, or finally use that paper you just 'had to have' from three years ago, be sure to play along with the OCC this week! Be sure to leave your creation using Mr. Linky on the OCC site and if you upload to SCS use keyword OCCC!

MFT Movie Coupon Gift!

So it was one of my very dear friend's Birthdays on Tuesday and after racking my brain as to what to get her...I kept coming up blank! Without going into too much detail, she really doesn't need anything, and I'm not the kind of person to buy someone a gift just to give them a gift! KWIM? She does, however, love to dine out and go to movies! So although my gift of 'Dinner and a Movie' isn't exactly a 'sentimental' gift, at least I know she'll like this! Especially being that she'll get to pick the restaraunt and the movie!!

The new Chick Flick set from MFT is PERFECT for any movie related gift...or even just a nice BFF Card!!
Here are the pics of the card and coupon that I made for her!

The Card Front:
I used Mercy's awesome Sketch Challenge for my card!!

A Close Up

And the inside with the coupon!

I used some of my coveted Sweet Slumber specialty dp from SU! I colored the images and sentiment panel with my copics! To create the bow I simply lay down the strip of ribbon, and then with another piece of ribbon I create a loop and glue it together! I then wrap another small piece of ribbon around the center of the loop and then I glue it to the vertical strip. The bling was just an after thought!

Thank so much for stoppin' by today and please visit again tomorrow for more creations from MFT and Totally Stampalicious for the C4C and OCC Blog Challenges!!
