Well I had to make a few sympathy cards this week as my community has suffered a few losses...it seems to happen like that doesn't it? When it rains, it pours...my heart goes out to all those hurting right now.

I inked up this gorgeous Hydrangea stamp from SU! and used some CTMH papers to create this heartfelt card! There are TEN layers including the base and a few embellishments...I think that should suffice for this challenge...lol!!

Look at me go!! TWO posts IN A ROW in the middle of the week?!!! WHOA!! It must be COLD here for me to have so much time to play!!

I created this card for the MFT Weekly Sketch Challenge and today's SCS Free 4 All Challenge, to use at least two hearts on your creation.

So I inked up the SWEET Pure Innocence girl and paper pieced her dress and colored her up with copics!

The papers are My Mind's Eye and the ribbon is SU!

Oldie but a Goodie Challenge

I found a fun Challenge Blog today called

Oldie But a Goodie

Their challenge is to use something that is AT LEAST six months old on your card!!!
I thought to myself...what a great challenge...I have a RIDONKULOUS amount of stuff in my craft room that is probable 2-3 years old if not older!! I have since stopped buying so much and try to stick to tools and consumables (glue, cardstock and other such not-fun stuff)! So I figure if I do this challenge EVERY week, I will eventually use up at least SOME of my aging stash!!!

So here is my card!! The stamp is a NEW release from the Totally Stampalicious Bugaboo line! Isn't he adorable!!?

My Oldies but goodies are the dp, the fun little brads, and the tag stamp set! The other stuff is probable over 6 months old as well, but it was the things that I listed that I literally 'dug out' for this challenge!

I got a little carried away while coloring...he actually started out much lighter and yet somehow ended up being a rather dark brown...clearly someone should have intervened and taken my markers away!!!

Hey Peeps!

We have another super FUNny challenge over at the Totally Stampalicious Blog!

We want yo to make someone laugh...or at the very least smile in good humor, by creating a FUNNY card or project!

For my project I used JJ Desperate Housewife to create this fun wall hanging for my kitchen!

The sentiment reads "You'll eat it and you'll like it!"

I picked up those papers many months back from a Scrapbook Store and was happy to finally put them to good use! I used Walnut Distress Ink to stain the wooden plaque and letters! Next I need to go and buy a protective lacquer/spray and hope that it won't interfere with the copics and ink!

C4C115 - White Christmas!

Happy Saturday!!

I'm hosting my last challenge for the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog this month!!

This is the time of year when many of us start decorating our homes for the upcoming holiday season!! Well I think, being a Canadian, the greatest outdoor decoration of all is that which Mother Nature gives us PLENTY of!!! SNOW!!! For me, Christmas just isn't the same without some fresh fallen snow!

This week's challenge is to make a card or project with some sort of snow on it!!!

I love the look of white on white and decided to give it a try for this challenge! The card turned out ok but I struggled with the photograph! I wanted to catch the texture and dimension but I lost some of the crisp white-ness(?) of it!

Oh well!

This was super simple to make with just a few punches, embossing folders and some whisper white cardstock!

We are getting our first big snowfall of the year as I sit here and type...I only wish I didn't have to go out in it! Alas, the kids at the school would be a little sad AND hungry if I didn't show up to make their lunch today!

I created this cute little Purse using my Cricut and the Bags, Tags, Boxes and More cartridge!!! Mistletoe Scarlette is so fancy and chic, she NEEDS an adorable handbag to go along with her!! It's stuffed with chocolate and Candy Cane Kisses!

It's my turn to host the challenges over at the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog I've got another CRAZY challenge for everyone!

This week we're making a TRIPLE THREAT card! We want to see AT LEAST 3 of each of the following:

So here's my creation! I had some fun playing with a few punches this week!! I've seen so many GORGEOUS wreaths made from different punches and I thought I'd give it a try!

I used Martha Stewart punches for the the branches and snowflakes. The pearls were are colored with Copics to match the Cherry Cobbler!

I punched a 2-1/2 inch circle out then used my 1-1/14 inch circle to punch out the center!

C4C112 Wrap it Up!

Happy Saturday!!!

It's my month to host the challenges for the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog and I thought I'd start us off with one of my FAVORITE things to create, Bags, Boxes, Altered stuff...you name it, I love it!!!! So this week we're going to WRAP IT UP! With the Holidays fast approaching, let's see how you'll give a gift that special creative and personal touch!

I ended up making a few different things for this challenge!

First, I pulled out my Cricut and the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cartridge that my pal Becky lent me, to create this fun tree shaped box! I stuffed it with Kisses and then created a card to match using one of our new Christmas sets from Totally Stampalicious - Deacon and Ava HoHo!

Then I decided to use a fun template that I bought from Creations by AR a few months back when she sponsored the C4C Blog! This is her Gift and Card Combo!

I used Pimp My Ride Stella from the Totally Stampalicious Bugaboo Line!

I'll be giving this to my niece as she will be getting her license in January but already has a car!

Here is a picture of it open!

(now that I've seen the pic I realize the inside needs a little dressing up yet)

I've put a Gold Canyon Air Freshener and a Gas Card in it!!

(I really hope she doesn't check out my blog lol)

So that's it for now but I've only just started all the stuff I'd like to make for friends and family this year!! If I could ask for anything this year...it would probably be more craftin' time!!! LOL!!

It's time for another fun challenge from Tammy, our Crazy 4 Challenges hostess!!! This week she has creating ONE LAYER CAS Cards!!! We are allowed one cut out image or die-cut embellishment....and hopefully ribbon....'cuz my card needed some ribbon!!! LOL!!!
I did, however, manage to keep it on ONE SINGLE LAYER, which, as some of you might know can be excruciatingly difficult as there is ZERO room for error!!!

This here is Winterbird Snowman, a BRAND NEW RELEASE from the Totally Stampalicious Bugaboo Line!!

I used a CB folder that I've had for years and I think this might be the first time I've used it!! It didn't quite fit the image but I think it's still OK.!

I have to admit though...I really do LOVE CAS cards!!!! I even enjoy the challenge of a single layer card!!!!

Here is my creation using this GORGEOUS stamp from Outlines!

I heat embossed it in Silver EP on some CTMH paper! Added a little twine a bell...done! That's the beauty of heat embossing...it adds so much you really don't need much else!!

And here is another one where I simply flipped it around...that's TWO more Christmas cards done!!

It's challenge time at the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog and this week our challenge hostess Tammy Hershberger has given us another fun challenge.

Our challenge this week is a .... Recipe Challenge – Use only LEAF images, your card must include a rust or burnt orange color (but is not limited to only this color), only 2 fibers (ribbon, lace, twine, fabric) and only 3 embellishments (but whether you choose to use just 3 embellishments, or 3 different types of embellishments is your call!) No leaf images? Use a plant or flower with leaves image!

I used a leaf from an old SU! set, colored them with Copics and cut them out! Idecided to keep this Clean and Simple and was happy with the results!

Mad Embossing!

I had such a great weekend of hanging out at home! My kids had friends over so they left me alone to get a little crafting done!!! Lol! I actually got TWO cards done for the Stampalicious Monday EMBOSS IT Challenge!!

This first one uses Fairytale Charlotte! She is from our Sylvia Zet line and I absolutely LOVE Sylvia's unique take on this pretty Princess!! She's so unique!

I used some CTMH papers so that I could make use of the white core cardstock! I lightly sanded the polka dots to really make them stand out!

And here's another creation using Red Hat Stella....featuring my brand new Pennant Punch that my awesome pal, Becky, bought me for my B-day! I used TWO different embossing folders on the background here...I'm pretty happy with the effect!

It's another CRAZY 4 Challenges Saturday and it's a NEW month so that means a

NEW Hostess!!

To start us off, fellow crazy, Tammy - Stamp Happy has us creating cards for a good cause in honor of World Card Making Day!! She wants us to make a card, any card, for Operation Write Home or any other local charity! You can find more details on this awesome challenge over at the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog!

World Card Making Day!
For today, I'd like us to celebrate World Card Making Day by remembering others. The challenge is that you can make any card you want. However, I'd like you to find a worthwhile charity that you can donate your card(s) to after today, and follow through and DO IT! Call a local nursing home... the residents love to have cards they can send to their family members. Check with your local hospital and see if you can donate cards to their gift shop. Maybe a local senior center?

So I figured Friendly Dexter would make a great card card to send home to a loved one!!!

I used the color scheme for this week's Touch Twin Markers and More Challenge....

Happy Saturday!

I'm actually CAMPING today....yep that's right...we're squeezing one last camping trip in before we settle in for what I hear is going to be a fairly looooong winter for us Northerners!!! BUT, I had time this week to hit the craft room and play along with my fellow Crazies from the

Barb's back with another fun challenge for us all today. It's not too soon to start on Halloween projects. Today's challenge is to make a Halloween card or decor project. If you don't "do" Halloween, then let's see another Fall project.

This is Fairy Ava, one of the New Releases from Totally Stampalicious! She is all dressed up and ready to go a-haunting and gathering treats on Halloween night!

She's colored with Copics and the sentiment is actually from the Totally Stampalicious Witch Brawd set! Those papers are a few years old from Little Yellow Bicycle and the bats are brads that I've also had for a few years!

Truth be told, I could never buy another craft supply again and continue to make cards for YEARS...but what would be the fun in that?!

It's Saturday which means the "Crazies" are back with another fun challenge for you all.

Before we get into today challenge, as this week is a sponsored challenge we need to introduce this month's sponsor which is Creations by AR . Adela has some awesome templates on her site which I know the "Crazies" have had fun playing with for our challenge this week. The templates come in all formats: PDF, SVG and DXF so that you can use them with your electronic die cutting machines or cut by hand if you don't have a machine. Well I have to admit I don't know how to use SVG files with my Cricut yet, but thankfully Adela has LOTS of great files that work with nothing but your hands and a pair of scissors!!! Being that our challenge was to use something with a pumpkin on it...I figured why not use her ADORABLE Jack-O-Box treat bag!

I used my Copics to color in his sweet li'l face and drew on some faux stitching...something I haven't done in FOREVER!!! I then decided I should at least pull my Cricut out for something and created the card you see to go with it! The Happy Halloween stamp is $1 stamp that I got years ago!

Well, the kids are back in school and I happen to have a WHOLE day to hang at home, clean, cook and yes, CRAFT! Yay!!!

So of course I'm gonna play in the Totally Stampalicious ANYTHING GOES Blog Challenge, but while chillin' on Facebook this morning I discovered a new challenge blog for a new (to me anyway) marker company called Shinhan Art Materials and the blog is called

Welcome to another Saturday with the Crazies and this week Barb Anders is back with another fun challenge.

This week it's a color challenge and with Fall almost here we are taking our inspiration from these gorgeous fall colors. So make your card using the colors orange, olive green, yellow & brown.

One of my BFF's is getting married this weekend and I decided to create this card for her and her new husband!

It's another Crazy 4 Challenges Challenge!!!!

It's Saturday and that means we've got another fun challenge for you from the

This week, our hostess with the mostest, Cindy- Cindy Haffner's Corner, has a SUMMER THEME challenge for us!!!

I can't help but notice all the AWESOME Pinwheels out there and, although it may be hard to believe, I have NEVER made one!! So, I decided to give it a try and lo and behold, they are SO simple to make!!!! And FUN!!!!!

Now in keeping with the SUMMER THEME I chose Deacon Bugs from Totally Stampalicious!! Bugs are about the ONLY thing I DON'T like about summer, but my son spends hours chasing down bugs all summer long!!

I colored Deacon with Copics and made the pinwheel with SU! Print Patterns and used a toothpick warpped in paper for the stick!!

I used Versafine to stamp with as it seemed to give the clearest image on the cork!

Joanne - The Inky Ocean Gazer has another FAB idea to get our mojo flowing over at the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog!!

Now that the weather is sunny and clear (hopefully), we often start planning vacations. Create a card showing a favorite vacation spot or activity.

Well it doesn't matter where I go or even if I stay home...I always appreciate the beautiful summer sunsets that don't come until 10 or 11 at night!!! LOVE the long days!!! So here is my hommage to summer using one of my very favorite silhouette stamps!!

I stamped my image in craft ink then embossed it on apricot paper! I then used saffron, pumpkin, and rose red inks to sponge in the sunset colors!! I also embossed the butterfly die cut so the texture would match the main image!

It's a new month and that means a new Hostess...so let's give a friendly 'Holla' to fellow Crazy, Joanne - The Inky Ocean Gazer!
Joanne wants to take the promise that April Showers Bring May Flowers quite literally and bring in this new month with LOTS OF FLOWERS!!
Well I'm all in for that because I think that may be the only way I'm going to see any flowers for a while!! There are STILL a few, albeit small, patches of SNOW on my lawn!!!!

A CAS CASE!!

Well it's been a rough few days at my house as we've all been battling some nasty Flu Bug...but I'm finally on the mend and had some time to get into my Happy Place!!

The first thing I wanted to do was pay tribute to an awesome stamper, TS designer and all-round great friend - Sue aka Coffeestamper!!! She is this week's Featured Stamper on Splitcoast!!! Congratulations, Sue on your well-deserved honor!!
I also created this for the Stampalicious Monday Blog Challenge - Create a Clean and Simple Card!

OK! So I go browsing through the Resources at Splitcoast and came across the Explosion Box...something that I've been wanting to try since the first time I ever saw it!! away to one lucky player!!

I'm not crazy about the bow here...I think I should have used a different material!

And here it is open! I figured Birthday Cake Dottie would be perfect for this little project!
I think if I were going to give this to someone I'd have to put something else in it!! I mean, Dottie is really cute and all, but if someone gave ME a little box for my birthday I would at least want some chocolate or something in it!!!

Playing Along In A Few Challenges

I'm having a quiet day at home and thought I would skip over all the 'To Do's' so that I could spend a little fun time in the Craft Cave!
I blog surfed to find a few challenges and found TWO at Inkspirations Challenge Blog! I used this weeks Color Challenge and last weeks Sketch Challenge!

This lil' creation also works for the Totally Stampalicious Blog Challenge which is to use:

This is a bit of a close up of my coloring which clearly still needs some work, but I'm headed to a Copic Certification Class this month and I'm hopin' to learn some of the Mad Skillz that I see out there in Blog Land!

When I saw This Stamp Set I just had to have it!!! The look on her/his face just cracks me up and I LOVE the "What the Cluck" senitment!!

I used 6 different dies here (and one punch for the circle sentiment)! I also pulled out some of the cork that I've had for about 6 years...I swear I'm going to start using it more now...it has such a cool effect on cards and Sb layouts!!

Happy Saturday!!! After missing out on last weeks Crazy 4 Challenges challenge, I'm happy to be back! This week, our wonderful hostess, Angela - Angelwood's Crafting Corner has a challenge that is all heart! Create a card or project with hearts on it!

Here is my creation! I used my Cricut to create the card base and some fabulous Verve Stamps! to make a background. The sentiment is also from Verve!

C4C72 Sassy and Shabby Chic!

Happy Saturday!
The wonderfully talented Maria Bell has one more awesome challenge for us before her month as the Crazy 4 Challenges hostess is up, and this week she has doing a 'vintage style' or 'shabby chic' kind of card or project!! I love this kind of challenge because it is not a style I usually use, yet I LOVE it!!

*Funny Story*
So I actually made this card a while back BEFORE I contacted the artist of the fabulous and sassy Stella, Jodie Mackerell, to ask whether Stella's mouth is OPEN or CLOSED! Now as some of you may know, my stamp company, Totally Stampalicious turns Jodie's Bugaboo Digi's into 'rubbah' (clear stamps actually but you know what I mean!) Well all this time, I thought Stella's mouth was open!! I even argued with my partner/co-owner Becky about this! Well as it turns out...SHE was RIGHT...Stella's mouth is CLOSED (as confirmed by her creator, Jodie)! I have since started coloring her in the way she was intended to be...but here is one last card...
*sigh* There you have it folks...publicly announcing to the world, well blog land anyways, that I was WRONG!

Well HELLO on a Wednesday!!! Kind of rare for me to be posting mid-week but here I am with a card for the Stampalicious Monday RED and PINK color challenge!

I used the most obvious choice for this color combo...Stupid Cupid Stella!

I found that fun eyelet trim at the $ Store in town...what a great embellishment for Valentine-y creations!!!

C4C70 Thankful for Flower Soft!

It's time for another challenge from Maria, our Crazy 4 Challenges hostess with the mostest!
This week she has making Thank You cards...and who doesn't need more of those on hand?!
We also can be grateful this weeks Sponsor!

This week our fabulous sponsor is Flower Soft.

Flower Soft was kind enough to send us these GORGEOUS colors to play with and I was completely inspired to use them on some FRUIT!! So I guess in this case, you could call it Fruit Soft? No? Just doesn't have the same ring to it does it?
Anyhoo...here is my first Thank You card which I must say, I had all kinds of fun making!!

So much fun in fact, I decided to keep playing and make this little trio of 3x3 Thank You cards! I used some Sticky Strip to adhere the Flower Soft in nice straight lines! You need to press down very firmly in order to make sure it all sticks!! The glue works much better with this stuff for sure...but it still worked with the tape!

Blushing Bride, Pink Passion, Daffodil, Tangerine, Apricot and Green Galore were the papers and inks I used for these projects!
